An Introduction to the Spaces and Creators Maps
Welcome to the Eastside Arts District!
The Eastside Arts Society has mapped the cultural spaces and assets of Vancouver’s Eastside. We’ve launched this interactive map as a living directory of cultural spaces, venues, and the creators, groups, and organizations working in this area.
How to use the Map
This website features two Maps:
Spaces
Physical spaces in Vancouver’s Eastside District dedicated to cultural activities or spaces that host cultural events.
Artists/Creators/Groups
Artists, creative producers, organizations, and groups working in Vancouver’s Eastside District dedicated to cultural activities.
These maps are connected to each other. Artists, creators, and organizations are assigned to Spaces, making associated creators discoverable through the Spaces Map and Space Profile pages.
You can explore the map in several ways:

- Browse the map visually
- Search for specific spaces or addresses
- Use Filters to narrow down results by categories and specific features:
- Spaces Map: Filter by Category and Activity or by
- Artist/ Creators Map: Filter by Mediums of Visual Art or Performing Art, types of Other Creative Disciplines, or by type of profile (Artists, Other Creatives, Groups / Organizations)
Submitting a Space Profile
To submit a Space profile or to update an existing one, please use this form.
The following information is required to submit a Creator Profile:
- Space Name
- Space Location*
- External Webpage – one URL
- Space Categories – select up to 6 (Download Category List)
- Space Activities – select up to 6 (Download Activities List)
- Short Description – up to 100 words (optional)
- Profile Image – one image at max 1350×900 72dpi (optional)
*Only Spaces within the Eastside Arts District can be included.

Submitting an Artist/Creator Profile
To submit a Creator profile or to update an existing one, please use this form.
The following information is required to submit a Creator Profile:
- Creator Name
- Profile Type – select one of the three types
- Creator Location*
- External Webpage – one URL
- Creator Disciplines – select up to 3 (Download Creator List)
- Short Description – up to 100 words (optional)
- Profile Image – one image at max 1350×900 72dpi (optional)
* To be a part of this map, each Artist/Creator/Group must be linked to a Space. If your space is not listed in the EAD Map Directory, submit your Space first, then your Artist/Creator/Group profile.
Eastside Arts District Boundaries
The blue-shaded area of the interactive map represents the boundaries of the Eastside Arts District.
To be included in the Eastside Arts District Culture Map a Space must be within the boundaries of the Eastside Arts District. Artists, Creators, and Groups must be based in a Space within these boundaries.
The EAD Boundaries are defined by the following streets and features:
East – Victoria Drive
West – Abbott St. / False Creek / Main St.
South – East 2nd Ave / Great Northern Way / North Grandview Highway
North – Port of Vancouver / Burrard Inlet / selilwet
