Smaller Clans sometimes joined forces to build a headquarters for their society. This enabled them to build a substantial structure displaying their importance in the community. This building, erected in 1925, is a perfect example of this type of cooperation. It is also a demonstration of the blending of influences in Chinatown’s architecture.
